November 15, 2012 Woman Rams Gate and Drives Onto Runway With Child in Car at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Travelers Today woman who was driving her car with a child rammed through a gate at the airport and ended up on a runway.  Phoenix police at Sky Harbor Airport chased the driver and forced her car to stop  woman driving showed signs of "impairment." Flight operations at the airport were ceased for about 15 minutes after incident occurred.
