Jewish Suspects

Jewish Suspects ---

algemeiner   As David Weinberg pointed out in Israel Hayom on Monday: “Israeli terrorists are few and far between. Over 100 years of conflict, they comprise a mere handful: Ami Popper, Jack Teitel, Yehuda Etzion, Baruch Goldstein, Yona Avrushmi and several others.”

February 25, 1994 The Cave of the Patriarchs massacre or Ibrahimi Mosque massacre, also known as the Hebron massacre,[1] was a shooting attack carried out by American-born Israeli Baruch Goldstein, a member of the far-right Israeli Kach movement, who opened fire on unarmed Palestinian Muslims praying inside the Ibrahimi Mosque (or Mosque of Abraham) at the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron, West Bank. It took place on February 25, 1994, during the overlapping religious holidays of Purim and Ramadan.[2][3] The attack left 29 male worshippers dead and 125 wounded.[4] The attack only ended after Goldstein had expended his ammunition, when he was overcome and beaten to death by survivors.

May 20, 1990, Ami Popper, a dishonorably-discharged soldier, put on Israel Defense Forces uniform trousers, stolen from his brother, an active duty soldier. He also stole his brother's assault rifle and five ammunition clips. He then spotted a group of Arab workers at a bus stop in the city of Rishon Lezion. Suspecting they were Arab, he demanded to see their identity cards. After confirming they were Arabs he lined them up and opened fire, killing seven. Within an hour, he was arrested. As Palestinians rioted, Israeli security forces killed seven rioters and injured about 700 more.

February 10. 1983  wikip Grunzweig was killed during Peace Now rally on February 10, 1983, when right-wing activist Yona Avrushmi lobbed a grenade into the crowd.[4][5][6] Nine other protesters were injured, among them future politicians Avraham Burg and Yuval Steinitz. Avrushmi was arrested in 1984, convicted of murder in 1985, and sentenced to life in prison. In 1995, President Ezer Weizmann commuted the sentence to 27 years in prison. In 2005, Avrushmi was denied early release.[7] Avrushmi was granted parole and released from Rimonim Prison on January 26, 2011.
