Terrorist Incidents ---

Very few incidents that are obviously acts of terrorism are classified as such

Year 2014

October 23, 2014 A man attacks a group of police officers in New York City with a hatchet, injuring 2 before being shot dead. Police suspect the attacker was motivated by radical Islamic ideals. (CNN)

2 killed, including 1 suspect killed by police October 20, 2014 Martin Courture Rouleau Killed After Canada Lone Wolf ISIS Car Attack On Soldiers In what media is calling a possible terrorist attack by a radicalized Islamist in  Quebec, Canada, Martin Couture-Rouleau, 25 drove his car into the two young soldiers, and one died in a hospital. After a police chase, the suspect was shot and killed. Royal Canadian Mounted Police announced that the suspect 'was known to Federal authorities' and 'authorities were concerned that he had become radicalized.' A neighbor noticed that  Rouleau grew out his beard and began wearing loose-fitting Muslim clothing, and Roleau's father was worried as he became increasingly radicalized and "tried everything," to help him. The International Business Times called the suspect a ISIS Lone Wolf killer who was a depressed conspiracy theorist recently drawn to radical Islam. Two days later another muslim convert who also had his passport seized killed a soldier and shot up Parliment in Ottawa. Glenn Greenwald argues that attack against soldiers such as in Woolwich London and Fort Hood should not be called terrorism as he has supported armed resistance against imperialist wars.

Saturday February 28, 2014 Kunming China Train Station Stabbing Attack At least 29 are killed and 130 injured by a gang of apparent knife-wielding terrorists dressed in black uniforms who went on a stabbing spree at a train station in Kunming, China. The government concluded it was a terrorist attack by Uighur extremists as the men were gunned down by police. Chinese media is calling it China's 9/11, while other media question why the government is not releasing any evidence of connection to terrorists or revealing the identities of the attackers.

Year 2013

June 18, 2013  2013 Albany death ray plot In 2013, six men from upstate New York were arrested after building a radioactive "death ray" device and plotting to use it againstMuslims, other perceived enemies of the United States and Israel,[30] including Obama. The men, Glenn Scott Crawford and Eric J. Feight, were arrested by the FBI after a 15-month operation involving FBI agents posing as co-conspirators. A court affidavit described the device as "a mobile, remotely operated, radiation emitting device capable of killing human targets silently and from a distance with lethal doses of radiation."[31] The case has been under investigation by a Joint Terrorism Task Force since at least April 2012, when Crawford allegedly reached out to Jewish organizations, asking if Israel would be interested in such a weapon to kill its enemies. ...“[Crawford] (on or about June 18, 2013) plans to integrate that remote initiation device into a truck-borne, industrial-grade x-ray system.."

June 2013 (not terrorism) a ricin-laced letter was sent to President Obama by Shannon Guess Richardson. The letter contained a threat to kill anyone attempting to take away the sender's guns or impair their "constitutional God given" right to bear arms.[38] It was later revealed the letter's message was fake as the sender's sole intent was to incriminate her estranged husband.[39]

this man, identified as Everett Dutschke, was arrested in connection with the caseDutschke was out on $25,000 bail for unrelated state ..

April 2013 Ricin attack attempt was made in April 19, 2013 when a letter laced with ricin, a deadly poison, was sent to President Obama, along with a U.S. Sen. April 17, 2013  (FBI says it was not connected to terrorism or other attacks)  Rifle Shoots Silicon Valley Substation and Fiber Optic Cable Cut At 1:46 a.m more than 100 gunshots were heard for 19 minutes when a sniper used a high powered 7.62mm rifle was used to damage 17 giant transformers and 6 circuit breakers at the Metcalf power substation in South San Jose / Silicon Valley in what was initially very little press coverage until nearly a year later. Just a quarter hour before, phone lines and fiber optic cables belonging to AT and T about a half-mile away were cut as part of the operation. A year later, the Wall Street Journal reported that on analyst called it t "the most significant incident of domestic terrorism involving the grid that has ever occurred" in the U.S." and that the motivation "appears to be preparation for an act of war."  Repairs took 27 days and it cost $15.4 million in damage. The FBI does not "believe it is related to domestic or international terrorists".

April 15, 2013 Boston Marathon Bombings During the Boston Marathon two pressure cooker bombsexploded at 2:49 pm EDT, killing 3 people and injuring an estimated 264 others.[3] The bombs exploded about 13 seconds and 210 yards (190 m) apart, near the finish line on Boylston Street.[2][8]

October 16, 2012 Raulie Casteel Michigan Terrorist Freeway Shootings  Raulie Casteel shot at 24 vehicles along the I-96 corridor over three days. One victim was struck in the buttocks and suffered a nonfatal injury; 23 others were uninjured. He was sentenced to 16 up to 40 years on terrorism charges. His cover story testifying in his own defense was that he was consumed with anxiety while in traffic, most likely from undiagnosed delusions. He said he believed drivers were part of a government conspiracy against him. In June of 2012, Kentucky police responded to his spurious complaints of low-flying planes when no one else complained.
