October 23, 2013 In Liberty Township Butler County, Ohio, a 16 year old honor roll student barricaded the exits and lit a fire as his father broke his legs jumping out of a window to escape a fire he set. Police found detailed and sketches planning the attack.

    Authorities said a 16 year old has been charged with attempted murder in connection with a fire he started in an attempt to allegedly kill his parents.
    Sharon Simon, 56, suffered smoke inhalation, but her husband, Perry, 50, suffered a broken leg when he jumped from a second-floor window to escape the blaze. The teen allegedly tied the door shut with his parent inside then lit two areas on fire in the hallway, according to Butler County Sheriff’s detectives
