While Media Bias Fact Check rates Islamophobic websites as questionable, we must also rate a site that demonizes any criticism of Islam, even radical Islam as being equally questionable. We admire this website for tackling the true prejudices and crimes against Muslims, but they even go so far as to attack an atheist comedian. This is a propaganda site. (4/2/2017)

"the religious and ethnic heritage of the perpetrator shouldn’t be relevant?"
http://www.loonwatch.com/2011/12/belgium-islam-and-the-booomerang-of-loon-idiocy/ (pro-islam terrorist apologist website)  also:  All Terrorists are Muslims...Except the 94% that Aren't | loonwatch.com Jan 20, 2010 -CNN recently published an article entitled Study: Threat of Muslim-American terrorism in U.S. exaggerated; according to a study released by Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, “the terrorist threat posed by radicalized Muslim-Americans has been exaggerated.” According to the official FBI database, only 6% of terrorist attacks on U.S.  Terrorist Attacks on U.S. Soil by Group, From 1980 to 2005, According to FBI Database According to this data, there were more Jewish acts of terrorism within the United States than Islamic (7% vs 6%).

Belgium, Islam, and the Boomerang of Loon Idiocy by Ilisha on December 15, 2011 in Feature, Loon Media, Loon Sites  Belgium Vigil On Tuesday, after the grenade attack in Belgium, Loonwatch exposed Robert Spencer’s feeble attempt to pin it on Muslims here. He immediately jumped to the conclusion that the perpetrator, Nordine Amrani, was a Muslim with sinister Islamic motives. Spencer wasn’t alone.

All the usual suspects also jumped the gun: Belgium, Islam and the Boomerang of “Multiculturalism” (Frontpage Magazine – thanks for the title idea), Belgium Grenade Attack by Muslim[s] 4 Dead, 75 wounded (Atlas Shrugs), Belgium: Honor Killing Trial Causes Jihad With Hand Grenades (Winds of Jihad).

Apparently the loons are unaware that Amrani is typically a Mizrahi Jewish surname. It is reckless to guess because names can be deceiving, but if Amrani’s Jewish origin is confirmed, will the loons suddenly agree with us that the religious and ethnic heritage of the perpetrator shouldn’t be relevant?

As the bigots are fond of pointing out, Nordine Amrani is of Moroccan extraction, though he was born and raised in Belgium. According to an article in the New York Times, Amrani considered himself Belgian, didn’t speak a word of Arabic, and was not a Muslim.

In the absence of facts, it seems anti-Muslim bigots just manufacture whatever sensational headlines suit their hateful agenda. Authorities say the attack is not religiously motivated:

Non arabic speaking non-muslim Arab from muslim nation of Morocco 2011 Liège attack - Wikipedia On 13 December 2011, a murder–suicide attack took place in the city of Liège in the Wallonia region of Belgium. The attacker, 33-year-old Nordine Amrani, threw grenades and fired an FN ... According to Amrani's lawyer, he could not speak Arabic nor was he Muslim. Amrani was known to have an interest in guns, with a .... He was a French-speaking Belgian of Moroccan origin and a welder by trade.

Less than 1% of terrorist attacks in Europe are perpetrated by Muslims.
The latest Europol Data confirms that less than 1% of terrorist attacks in Europe are perpetrated by Muslims. Shooting sprees and violent rampages are usually said to be the work of a “lone wolf” with no religious motive, and they don’t count as terrorism, unlessthe perpetrator is Muslim. In that case, it’s terrorism done “in the name of Islam,” regardless of actual motive.

The Telegraph compiled a list of similar incidents over the last 10 years, and it appears Amrani would be the token Muslim if the loons were right about his background:
