- Sang Ho Kim Car Found Search Continues After 100 officers continued to search for Long Island workplace shooter, they found his car near a train station, but did not find him. Kim's sister says he left a voicemail after the shooting indicating he may take his own life.
- Danae Marie Miller Ran Down Triathlete Bicyclist Amine BrielFebruary 21, 2011: Triathlete Bicyclist Amine Briel was fatally struck from behind by driver Danae Marie Miller in Orange County California. She had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and odor of alcohol, and a blood alcohol level of .10 two hours after the crash. She had received over a dozen traffic citations since 2005, and pled guilty in February 2012 to to gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and texting. She was sentenced to serve four years in prison

Community activists are worried about gang violence even though authorities are not talking about gangs
- Murder of Bronx Teen Kemar Brooks July 27, 2012 Bronx, New York: 14 year old Kemar Brooks was found dead in a park with a tennis racket in his hand by his father at 3 a.m. when he did not return home. .380 handgun bullet shells were found nearby, but it was not clear if he was hit by a stray bullet or if it was for him. The athletic teenager was a sunday school student at the Gospel Academy Church of Jesus Christ who moved to New York from Jamaica two years ago. (He could have been targeted because he was christian, several black and Korean churches and pastors have been killed or attacked)
- Two Asian Jewelers Shot and Stabbed in San Francisco Over Price Friday July 12, 2013 Two Asian women jewelers 35-year-old Khin Min of Daly City and 51-year-old Lina Lim of San Francisco were shot and stabbed at the Jewelry Mart in San Francisco's South of Market area by African American Barry White, 23, of Antioch, and died of their wounds. A third man was shot and stab and critically injured. White appeared to have had one purchase before, but robbery did not appear to be the motive, as another report was an argument over price. As officers approached, White fired at police and then fled into a restaurant, fired until his .38 revolver ran out of bullets, and then lay on the ground to surrender, where he was arrested, covered in blood. The suspect had a criminal history and was facing charges in a 2009 case in which he also shot at police.
- Darnell Eutsay not guilty in the Elks Lodge murder April 23, 2011 Tallahassee Florida: Reshard Morrell was shot as he walked out a teen party at the Elks Lodge after being threatened by members of a gang who alleged it was a gang shooting and Morrell was only a bystander. Morrell was a model black student was in the I.B. program, on the football team, and a member of the Tallahassee Boys Choir. Suspect Darnell Eutsay was acquitted of murder charges in June 2012 but was later jailed on drug charges.
